Yes, I think it is a real Neumann U87ai.
If it is a cheap copy, they did a good job!

Hey!
 There's something about the colour of the nickel that's slightly off (which could just be the photo of course) , but also to me, the head basket doesn't look 1:1 to a Neumann that I think  there's a chance this isn't a pic of the real U87Ai but a clone.   
 
Edit:  The wooden box is not the same either, nor the internal foam.

Hey, maybe Aputis was very busy and people get their money back now ?  :-[
(I think that maybe I should buy some, disassemble them and sell them for $ 999,-- each as a kit - people like to pay for fakes.)
