FS: Transformers, Consolidated list. New

OK, I still have several kilograms of excess iron laying about my shop.  Please take a look and see if some of it would be better off in your shop.

1) A pair of "lightly used" Sowter 8940a output transformers for tube gear 5k:600.  (https://www.sowter.co.uk/specs/8940.php)  These were installed in an LA-2A clone but then replaced with UTCs.  Leads are all 4" plus long.  Currently about $115 USD each from Sowter plus shipping from the UK.  Single piece is $80 shipped or buy the pair for $150 shipped in the continental US.

2) McCurdy transformers by Hammond.  They are marked 2015 Hammond 97879 and they have two coils for the primary and two for the secondary so multiple impedance arrangements are possible.  DCR of about 17 ohms on the primary coils and 56 ohms on the secondary.  I have used them as a small stepup (about 3dB) with the primary in series and the secondary in parallel.  Excellent for outputs, isolation, saturation boxes, etc.  Full range, handles line level signals no sweat.  $30/single $50/pair plus shipping.  Quantity available.

3) RCA 901822-501.  This is a big old 600 ohm line matching transformer made by RCA in the 40s. It offers multiple step down ratios as shown in the photos. 500/600 to 264/132/106/66/63/33/32/22/10.6/6, 40 watts  All windings are tested. It measures 3.5” x 4.5” x 4.5” and weighs 7lbs!  $50 plus shipping.

4) Sescom MI-69 Line in or out 150/600:15k, +18dB primary power level, -10dB magnetic shielding.  NOS, but some corrosion on the case.  Perfect output for an Altec 1566 style preamp.  $25 shipped in USA

5) The Oddfellows.  5 oddball audio transformers of unknown origin.  Federal Telephone 600CT/600CT/300/?00/???:30k  Surface rust and paint loss prevent complete ID.  15 terminals to choose from!  Chicago Standard Transformer Corp. 600:600, says 400Hz-3k but I bet it does better.  Kenyon 500:2k CT, no further info.  Chicago Transformer Div. Essex Wire Corp (same as Chicago Standard) 50:500, 250Hz-5k +/- .5dB again, probably reaches much further.  Last of all a Freed 600 CT/600 CT:60k CT, 100Hz-10k  Could be a sweet mic input.  Buy all the freaks for $50 shipped in the USA.
