Anyone have any experience with designing a preamp around the THAT IC chips? I Know where’s the vib. That’s not what I’m designing. What I am designing is a ultra clean preamp with mostly SMD parts for a high end preamp that will be used in a small enclosure for Cinema cameras. I can’t say which one yet but the product is going to be designed to match the camera body and feature things like time code pass through, run/stop, etc. the camera is geared towards indie film maker budgets and the market currently has little to no offerings yet. I’m still debating whether to go the digitally controlled route with the 5173 chip but that would require a learning curve for me with serial programming and I’m not sure I’m there yet or even know where to start with that.  Anyways what is everyone’s opinion on the THAT preamp chips?

Hi,

This question is probably best asked over here:

Wayne Kirkwood knows about That Corp stuff.

Good luck!

Best regards,
