I'm taking a look at the pan pots on my Auditronics 110 console. Am I correct that the pan law is -2dB at center?

5k paralleled with 1.8k slug (1.324k), shunted by 5k = 0.791 gain (~2dB).

I don't think I've ever seen a 2dB law used before. Just checking my math.

You just forgot to take into account the loading from the injection resistor, that is in parallels with the bottom half of the pot.

A quick calc show the mid point is 2.99dB down.
