Carnhill VTB9071 Wiring
« on: December 27, 2020, 12:56:57 PM »
Hi!

I'm going to build a box that is turning unbalanced to balanced and vice versa.
For this project I'll use some VTB9071's that I have laying around!

How would I be wiring this transformer to do what I am trying to do?

Here's a picture from the AML site -

Thanks in advance!

Wire it 10K:10K for the input.

Whether or not it is the correct transformer for the output depends on what is driving it.

The idea is to use one before my Tascam 234 (to make the signal unbalanced) and one after to balance it again.
Maybe I just should buy another Carnhill transformer for the output. Which one would suit my idea the best?

Thank you
