Here's something to think about. I used inexpensive electret capsule. I removed the mesh in front.
It is very bright, as it should be, but i think some kind of HF attenuation should be applied. Acoustical response is exactly as it should be with an m50 type capsule. Low end and midrange remain omni, while high end gets evenly attenuated approaching 180°. At 180° it has very even response.
