newbie question about caps for MXL603 991

Hi all,

I used to frequent this page all the time and built quite a few of the projects with help from you all. But electronic component knowledge has never been my strong point.

I did the physical mods on my MXL 603 mics and that alone (the vents and screen mods) already make a big difference. I ordered caps from Mouser and got shipped (and maybe even ordered by mistake) .022uf caps. I see a few posts that say .22uf caps (for C3/4). Is it safe to assume that the ones I got will not work in this spot? Should I re-order the caps ensuring I get .22uf ?

Sorry, I am sure this is a stupid questions, but once answered I won't make the same mistake twice…LOL

You most definitely have to get .22 or larger. .022 will roll off too much low end.
