Tube Compressor repair Questions

I really wanted to make it in one of those Thick steel Rack Chassis like the original Gates but to get something like that made is costly.

I was thinking about doing the table top style... I already own a couple of those hammond boxes.. Rob Flinn's Sta-level is similar.

I'll keep you up to date to my developments...

I replaced the power Caps with new ones. the unit is getting extremely hot.
especially the 5Y3 and the 2 6V6's

I replaced the 20-20 cap with the same 20-20mfd
and the 10-15-15 cap, I used a 15-15-15.

Any thoughts

How much did your B+ rise after the cap replacement?

Does anyone know where to get a modification schematic to add a threshold attenuator to the Sta-Level?
