anyone know a source that will do plastic engraved plates/labels for front panel controls ala m@rquette audio labs? I've searched quite a few times and have found nothing... mostly just prefab 'bathroom this way' signs... or 'hello, my name is jerkface' name badges.

thanks in advance,

joe

I found this but never used their service:

I also found this engraver forum. Maybe you could ask them.

Just call your local trophy engraving shop. I just got a front and back panel made for my G7 mic powersupply. I just handed the guy a dxf file and he engraved it on white plastic that had black backing. He cut the holes for controls and jacks too. Looks excellent and it cost me only $10 per panel!!!

a-ha! that's the answer i've been looking for. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with a dxf file. could you explain a little please. I'd like to take a CAD class for designing/laying out front panel controls and such so I can get people my Ideas in the right form...instead of stumbling through the process. any recommendations? any standards i should be aware of?
