If it's copywrighted, you probably don't want to.
This is Ethans place and we don't want to get him in any trouble with his boss!

I have a password protected page at my web site, if you want I can host the "good" stuff!

You can also just put a link up to the non copywrighted stuff just to be safe..

We are not as visable as we used to be, but still....

you never know who's watching!

My Yahoo account has 30 Megs of space, so I could host files. The URL to that is a bit long and twisted though. So i'd have to learn how to embed links in messages. :)

I don't know if this is still up somewhere, but i have those old DIY microphone articles. Some are PDF and some are GIF.

We house our own machines and have a T1. I can host an awful lot of material for the group. I can also do WAN backups to tape - nightly or weekly.

Paul;
Look at www.one-electron.com he has somewhere on his page copyright
stuff. And John A. does it right.

I think (from memory) see sight above it is 16 years till
it enters the public domain. My rule of thumb is if the vendor
is still selling the item then it is unfair to post the schematic
without there permission. If the vendor has gone out of business then
it is fair game. If the product has beed discontinued
it may be ok to post the schematic. There are many gray areas here
and a Lawyer will NOT see it as I have stated above.

Please get your schematic ready.
We like schematic!

OK I am the self proclaimed scanned schematic police.
I got to sit down and do a FAQ on schematic scanning.
So do not take this wrong as I have not done my part
of the bargin yet.
Most of the guys here have seen some of my work.
But I can distill it to a few words for now.
DO NOT USE JPG's AS A FILE FORMAT FOR SCHEMATICS
Use *.gif as they were designed for 2 color B/W files.
Also your schematic file should be 2 color B/W since
real schematics DO NOT have any grayscale infomation in them.
They are smaller and better. If you convert them to PDF
still do the above. A PDF of a GIF file is very small readable and as the acronym says it is "Portable Document File"

Thanks, Adrian!

Let's get this organized!

We should be able to do this in a way that is acceptable to everyone.

Also, we could consider trying to compile a searchable links list of all the schematics and manuals we know laying around the net?
