The last place I found - I bought 10 and they had 5 left (Viewcom)
I suggest you talk to Maxwell in the Black Market and buy some from him.. (get some Motorola 2N3035s from him as well to make up the cost and make the shipping worth while)

The SMD-version is still widely available - maybe you could make a small sub-board?
Other than that, searcs small suppliers - this is pretty much a standard device, so all but the smallest shops will have it on-stock..

I ordered a few at RS (168-7282) yesterday but they told me they don't have it anymore.
They couldn't suggest me a replacement either.
So RS is over now w.r.t. the TL783, but who knows they'll be back with it again.
So who/where is Maxwal(l)/Maxwel ?
