Wanted to know how it works the attack time setting of the UA 175A, and what I should mod to get slower attack times.

Output signal is rectified in the 6AL5. The 0.1uFd capacitor is charged to a negative voltage, enough to reduce the gain of the 6BC8.
The 25K Attack pot slows the charging of the 0.1uFd cap.

Change the Attack pot to 100K or 250K.
Or if you also want longer Release, chnage the 0.1uFd cap to 0.3 or 0.5uFd.
