Yes, it is DBX2150. I've had this circuit since 1989 or so and never noticed IC2 was not labelled. A previous version was published in Home & Studio Recording at the time.

Rob - I've still got a pcb for that gate which I'll get round to building one day. I built the compressor which worked very well, although it doesn't seem to be in my rack at the moment - must be in the attic gathering dust!
They produced a third unit called Pro Activator (I think) which they sold on to a company called 3G in Southend. This had a potted section with some clever circuitry which may still be around, although I never saw it.

verbos, I'll have a guess, c12 is timing capacitor ? in which case the release is the discharge thru Q4 and 5 (as diodes) with a similar arrangement for the expansion release time. RV 4 controls the drop thru Q5 (not quite sure how though). Okay, stop sniggering and correct me.
