Wow. This has been Orange week around here. Quite a project. Do you really need that much juice? That's a lot of Vitamin C.

Consider the cost of:

speakers
iron
tubes

then see if your still interested. If you have most of the above, I say go for it. Maybe use half the power tubes and adjust x-formers acorgingly.

I was thinking of just making the head, I have an old "OJ" 4x12 closed back cab that I would use. What I really want to do is put a bias adjustment Pot on the thing so I could always play around with different tube combinations.

a 60 watt head would be more than enough for my intended application, Which is to use in the studio with a speaker simulator. but trying to find a design to clone is the issue... The schematics for different amps I found with less Juice are not something I'm interested in.

I'd cut the recipe in half - big iron for 100w gets awfully heavy to carry.

That being said, point to point would be plenty easy with this. You might even be able to just hang everything off the tube sockets and controls.
