Retired computer programmer (25 years) here. It was fun the first 15 years or so but the last 10 I had to deal with too many H1B "fake it till you make it" types so decided to retire)
Been a DIY HIFI guy since Heathkits and Dynacos in the early 70s. Currently re-purposing a Hafler DH-101 chassis to house an Accuphase 3850 preamp clone.
The clone sounds better than the 101 even after I rebuilt the 101's power supply and replace some caps.
Here's the Accuphase Clone on the bench for listening tests...
