1073 EQ lift switch. Is direct preamp path always connected

Please see image below. Does this imply that the Preamp pin P is always directly connected whether the EQ is lifted or not?
the idea being when the EQ is in there are two paths to EXT Link?

Neve EQ in/out switches generally select between the straight path OR the EQ path.

View it as simply selecting between pre and post EQ.... the EQ is still connected to the output of the previous gain stage.
