Hey fellas,

Working on restoring my 1967 Chrysler Newport. The old Bendix 376 AM radio is my latest source of inquiry.

Adding in Bluetooth is pretty simple and my quick experiments have worked just fine. HOWEVER, I wonder if there are limitations in the amplifier circuit that I could modify to make it sound just a touch better.

It's fairly simple to inject the Bluetooth audio between C15 and the R18 volume pot. R16 is a tone control.

Given the values, do you see any potential for doing this better? Do you see any RC filters that may be harming the frequency response?

Thanks,
Dan

I would think the weakest link here is the speaker.

I agree. Ordered a new 4x10 8-ohm speaker from turnswitch.com today. The old speaker says “Deluxe,” which probably meant it originally cost $0.75 instead of $0.60.

UPDATE: The actual speaker price in 1967 was $6.95 USD.

Nice work by the way, was going to suggest keeping the original and replace it with a custom created up to date unit, which looks similar (and has bluetooth, media player 2x100W class D etc etc)
