500 Lunchbox power standards

Could use some input on my next 500 rack unit to purchase (maybe build?). I have an early addition API 6 slot but see these Midas L10 things going for $300. I've heard people say that some of these racks aren't adequate for powering tube units and such.

Your thoughts please?

I'd buy a Midas, cut its PSU out and make an external one. Something like the Sigma 22 looks very promising and should outperform any "branded" PSUs with usual suspects like the LMs, I always wanted to try it with this format. P48 is easy to add with millions of PCBs from Ali.

BTW I don't think that tubes in the 500 racks is a good idea.

Hey, thanks for this lead! Did you build it yourself? Two 11 racks off on power supply - now we're cookin with gas!

Yep, built it myself. I'll be needing another one in 2 months or so. I'm building modules like crazy.

Jeff over at CAPI only does quality. Can't recommend him enough.
