620pf capacitor for Jensen pre

Can someone help me find the 620pf polarized capacitor that is across most of the JT-16-A transformer schemo's.
Will a non polarized cap work here?Anyone built any jensen pre's?

Look at the AN again... it's not a polarized cap! :razz:

Why do they draw the capacitors with a sraight/arced line?Doesn't that signify polarization?

That's just one style of drawing caps on a schematic. If they were polarized, one side of the cap would have a plus sign (+) next to it.

I know, it can be confusing sometimes.

This means inner/outer foil of foil caps, as far as I know.

Hi volta yeah I built 2 cathode follower Jenson mic pre's, I used a Sowter mic transformer tho,the pre's have lots of level fat sort of sound & mine are a little noisey & have a hum at the mo which i will be investigating.
