7 Pin Tube mic cable source

Hello all.

I searched the forum so apologies if this is already a thread, i couldn't find it. I am looking for a source for a 7 pin tube mic xlr cable. What are people using? I found the Mogami W3172 but was curious if there are other options. I am looking to build my own not something pre made.

Mogami and Gotham, but those are way too unruly for me, so Sommer is what I use when it comes to tube mic cable.

There's a lot of different sources in the market.

I've used the Gotham in the past just because the dealer was close to where I live.

Canare had a dedicated tube mic cable with larger gauge filament wires, but I'm not seeing it at the moment.

I've used Gotham cables for years, the quality is amazing, top notch stuff, although they are not the most flexible and easy to handle. I think it has to do with the exagerated Shielding cooper they used, it's great to have good shielding but I really think they went over the top.

Canare has one too.

Which is the Canare one? I don’t think I ever found anything by them some years back when I was looking for alternatives, to make handling a breeze after being so annoyed with handling Gotham and Mogami.

In Europe the usual suspects are the European brands Gotham, Klotz, Van Damme, Sommer which are all pretty high quality cables
There's also S2CEB.
As Mogami or Canare as both are American brands I never seen them at any of my suppliers neither being used in the field by other companies.

Interesting. Canare is very popular in Russia. Their full catalog is available, including all the colors, which is very convenient. I have hundreds of meters of them. Decent cables.

I used this cable in my U67 build. The cable is good quality, but the ends are junk. I put neutrik ends on it and it has been good for me.
