Hey everyone, I want to thank you all for the help you have given me so far.

I am looking for a simple a/b/y box schematic. I am a new builder so the easier the build the better. I'll post pictures through out the build.

Hi,

I think you should specify the context: for what kind of signal ? balanced, unbalanced ? mic, guitar, line ?
If it's guitar oriented, there are many schems around the web, you could look at AMZ's site for example (he's also a member here) or have a look at it: http://www.instructables.com/id/ABY-guitar-box/ .
If it's mic or line, the same principle occurs, basically, but with changes...

Laurent.

Good point! I left that one too open ended.

I want to build an A/B/Y box for a guitar signal.

I was wondering if there was a design available for an A or B or C or all path with the option to run them in any selection of signals at the same time. This way i could have foot a selector to go between any 2 guitar amps and an octave pedal that could go into a bass cab with individual control over them all.

But that idea might be a little complicated for me.

Here is what i found. http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/spltr2.gif

I am going to add an extra output xformer and switch for the 3rd out. I also want to figure out how to add gain knobs to each output. If I can get this working I will be very happy. And ill be willing to build one or two more at the cost of parts as a contribution to all the help i get in here.

Given it a whirl. Wish me luck.

Has anyone every used The Triad TY-141P as an output transformer on guitar pedals? I read they make good replacements for the mouser 42tm018's.

I know you wanna build, but the Whirlwind Selector does what you want.
