today we have a transistor bass amp from Acoustic Control Corp, Van Nuys, California, came in with no power fuse so we put in a fuse to give it the smoke test, what did we get?

smoke!

pulled a power transistor, shows a short from emitter to collector,

anybody know a good cross ref or should we use the same thing?

yes, probably best to use original, and get some drivers also,
this direct coupled stuff can be touchy when trying to use cross ref parts,
 
Cool.  I love these amps.  I have one that started oscillating, and got set aside.  It needs a revisit.
