Hi all,

I am building a couple of tube preamps based on Drip boards (V72/REDD47). For the DI input, can I just run straight wires from the input jack to an output jack for a DI through? Will it have consequences to the preamp circuit (loading, etc.)? I want to record bass DI through the REDD47 but would love to send the signal to a B15 amp I built as well.

Thanks,

Marty

Your ground/float options are probably the most critical thing.  Insulated jacks frequently used for that reason.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Does this mean if I put ground lift options on the preamp and there is one on the amplifier for the bass then I just look for the least noisy option?

Would I want separate ground lift for the preamp on both the xlr out and the DI through?

Thanks again,

Marty
