AKG D12 Diaphragm source

Does anyone know if it is still possible to get D12 diaphragms / voice coils from AKG or elsewhere?  A D12 that I bought showed up not operational and it looked like the fine wire from the voice coil to one of the wire leads broke.  I tried repairing it and of course, made things worse and now the diaphragm is totally shot.  I heard that you could still get these parts from AKG once upon a time.

I have never heard that AKG ever sold a diaphragm/voice coil alone for any of their microphones.  You could (can ?) only buy the complete capsule.

I had a source who ended up with most remaining D12 stock from the factory when Harman closed it. He's been out for a few years now.

I don't think anyone still sells these.

Many years ago I bought a new capsule for my D12 direct from AKG in Austria.  It was about 110 euros.

I seem to remember that I was on a bit of a waiting list & they waited until they had a few orders, but this might not be true.

The person I dealt with in Austria was a man called Karl Peschel.  No idea how I remembered that as this must have been a minimum of about 12 years ago.

The C12 (condenser) is remade, but the D12 (dynamic) capsule is no longer supported by spare parts

Someone SHOULD try to persuade a competent Chinese dynamic-microphone-manufacturer to do a re-issue of the diaphragm/coil assembly. Yes, I push the good cause every time I meet representatives from such companies..

As AKG doesn't have any means of production, or research left, I wonder who makes those?

Can't be old stock either, as everything's been auctioned of.

Yes, I also suggested that in another thread.
Shouldn't be that hard for a competent Chinese company to re-issue the D12 and MD421 diaphragms.

Anyone has any contacts?
