Hi,

I’ve got a couple of d20’s, one of which sounded way thinner and Honkier than the other.

I finally opened it up, and found the end cap of the bass chamber loose and stuck to the (fluffy) capsule dust cap.

There is a crease/dent in the fluffy dust cap but I’m hoping it is not influencing the diaphragm.

The bass chamber is empty. I need to get the end cap in its place and fixed. I’m struggling to get the cap to sit flush within the cylinder(to match the back, still attached end cap)

Endcap looks perfectly round, smooth and has been scotch brite-d. Inside of cylinder has been cleaned. I’m wondering whether I should press/tap it in with a suitably sized dowel of some kind to push it in straight and level.

Once in, does anyone have suggestions as to how it should be glued/soldered/welded/cemented into place?

Other than that the low end and high end both sound intact on first listen; so I’m hoping that reassembling the bass chamber will fix the mic

Thanks!

Bob
