Hello, I just acquired an Amek M2000.  The main problem I have is when I power it on, I get sound coming out like normal for approx 30  seconds, then it sort of fizzles out and dies.  If I crank up the master volume, it sounds very quiet and distorted.  (this happens regardless of input channel which makes me think the problem is in the master channel or psu).  If I power it off for a minute, and then back on, it does the same thing again.... works for 30 seconds then dies out again.  Any tips on where to look first?  Op amp, capacitor?

I am planning replacing electrolytic caps anyway, so maybe this solves it.

Any advice welcome !

It seems to me that the power supply or part of it is overloaded or faulty, so it goes down after some  time because of overheating.
Could you first check your power supply voltages ( +/- 17V or so)?

Thanks, I will check this and post an update soon.

overheating regulators shutting down? check all components with power on (be careful!!)nothing should be too hot to keep your finger on it for a five seconds

UPDATE:  I made some progress.  I recapped the electrolytic capacitors in the Master section and now I have sound, but there is no sound on the right channel when using the control room monitor output section (no sound and nothing appears on the Right channel meter).  If I use the ''studio'' monitor output section i have both channels.
