I really like the way this turned out. If you click on the pics, you can see the background lettering better (my favorite part). What do you all think?

Happy Birthday #3!!

as always one must ask How did you do the front pannel? so this time it will be me.

How did you get that front pannel to look so good liek that?

very cheaply. a can of spray paint, a hand cut stencil and rub-on lettering for the controls. I have another one being silk screened, but it's costing about $80 for one panel to do it in 2 colors (grey and white on black anodized aluminum). I'll post a pic of that one when I get it back.

Nice job, that looks great.

I'm getting more and more intimidated to start my SSL project. I don't think I can get mine to look nearly as good as all of you have. Thats a huge problem because we all know that the better it looks, the better it sounds

Shurite 350 series 1mA. I replaced the gradation scale with my own to represent (-dB) instead of mA's. And yes, it's a blue LED.

TIP: If you drill a hole in the back of your meter to fit an LED, take the casing off first. I ruined 2 meters by drilling right into it. :thumb: Needle assemblies are fragile.

Nice front panel... Really cool concept. Drilling could be a bit more inline, but hey, we all have areas where we could improve! Is that an enclosure from Middle Atlantic?
wow, that looks ass-bad
Is this a compliment? I'm turning 39 tomorrow and I thought I was up to date on this sort of thing, but now I wonder... :green:

Peace!

think he meant badass. silly canadians

it is indeed a compliment, it's used in situations where badass just isn't quite enough...

I dig that front panel concept too, it's kind of ironic, because my green pre artwork has the same, almost invisble lettering concept too.

Hmmmm......I would like to see this green pre you speak of and it's similar concept. Post a pic!

Thunder, yes it is a middle atlantic chassis. Good eye, good eye!
