Hi all,

I need a little help.I have a BBR1 and the little remote box.Everything works fine in Wifi mode but doesn't in wired mode.
iPad states a cable connection issue and doesn't connect.
I have a bad feeling that somebody swapped out the 4 pole minijack to RCAs cable, looks like it is a camera cable on which the video (yellow) wire was cut of.Razorsharp cut right on the back of the mini plug, barely visible.

Can somebody tell me the correct pinout/connections for this cable please?

Thanks in advance,

Udo.

Hi Volker,

I know Stefan,Lars & Co. at Mega Audio, they are our DPA dealers.
I bought it from them.Had a talk with Lars some minutes ago:Seems they never got it working in wired mode, neither with several software versions nor by swapping units and iPads.
Btw,the mentioned "cut cable" is what is originally supplied with the interface! Not joking.......
I think I'll send a note to Joe Bull and see what will happen.

Thanks for taking care Volker!

Cheers,

Udo.

I had an urgent technical problem on a live recording with a JoeCo, and I called the office [after office hours too] and Joe himself picked up the phone and we sorted the issue out. He was really helpful.

If you have emailed without a response, it would definitely be worth the ohonecall to their office to speed up the resolution of your technical issue

Thank you Gimmer.

Meanwhile I have had several email contacts with Francis Duggan at JoeCo.We are still tracing the issue,at least he confirmed a pinout I sent him yesterday. So I built this cable (connecting iPad to remote interface) today and tested it,but still the same issue, even on four different iPads with different iOS(all higher than 8).We can sort out the cable and iPads for now.I asked my supplier to send me a new unopened remote interface again to check and compare, and I'm expecting an answer tomorrow. As said, the funny thing is that everything works nice when in Wifi mode.

Sad to say I found out JoeCo and the supplier have stopped their busines relationship.

Will post once this is all sorted (and me being happy).

Best,

Udo.
