Hi all. Long time lurker, (previous hobbyist builder), recently disabled with some unfinished business. I have a micparts v-251 circuit kit and donor body w/ various addons I purchased over time to do a build on an old Apex 460. Neck surgery interrupted my bucket list project; can't hunch over any more, only one usable hand now making soldering near impossible. Looking for experienced hobbyist or whatever - in BC Canada as to eliminate costly shipping cross-border hassles. Thanks!

I know you're probably looking for a private party, but Advanced Audio Microphones is in Summerland BC Advanced Audio Microphones - Professional microphones at affordable prices. We provide studio quality mics for the home and pro recording industry. I'm in the other CA (California) and have done a handful of Mods with their parts, Dave and Scotty are super helpful and might even be able to put you in touch with someone local-ish.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Micparts 251 circuit is the Fox mod, of Fox Audio Research, also in Canada (though not sure where) Fox Audio Research Home you might consider reaching out to Brian Fox as well.

Hope this is helpful.

Hah - I actually bought mic parts from Dave and crew before in other builds. You're right, they're good. I did think of asking but thought their rates being the pros they're known to be, might be out of reach to my now limited $$. But thanks muchly for your reply. (And yes again to your point, Dave was probably modding mics while I was probably learning vowels. He's a classic!)

I just stumbled across this post while searching for Brian Fox to see if he was a member here. I'm relatively new to Mic building/modding, but a long time electronics tinkerer. I'm also in Canada (Windsor Ontario)
