I have a Lambda LCS C 48 volt supply thats going bad.  Cant find a Schematic for version C only a D version with 5 to 12 volt model.  Its current regulation is not good and voltage drops to 37volts and moves around.  I'm using this on a API 2488, 24 channel.

Switching supplies are available and Also found a IP 48H International Power Linear supply. Way over kill at 3A but ordered it anyway.

Is anybody using a switching supply?  They are available but how about noise with ripple.

My Lambda was 2.5 uv of ripple I don't see figures like that with switching.

LCS-C-48
worth fixing.
doubtful the switcher lovers can come up with something as low noise.

FIXED ,
C1 replaced.  checked with scope had a spike look instead of a sawtooth.
Seems solid now and flat as a pancake,  no ripple with my setup.

Tested with 100 ohm load.  Before it would drop 48v to 27 volt then get hot.
Now it stays on 48volts and will burn my hand instantly if I don't remove so is way more solid.
before I would put an 8k load and it would drop to 34 volts .

Ya its back.

Thanks Grid Current.  When I see a schematic it just eases my mind and gets interesting.
