AT 4060 Thread Not Opening?

You posted two One MegaByte images, in-line, served from a fairly slow server.
The stall was probably the forum's "thumbnail" feature choking on the big/slow images.
Ethan whacked that this morning, but still it is not-nice to put 1Meg images inline. Even if the forum software dummies-up the display size, the reader download size is still 1Meg. People on dial-up will have cold coffee before the page loads. FWIW, on a fast wire connection it took over a minute to load.
I've changed your in-line images to click-links. People who want to see can click; others won't have to wait to follow the thread.

Now the files are loading fast-enough on hard-wire. Maybe the server was having a rough hour.
While the files were named .JPG, they were pretty certainly .BMP images. No line-art JPG file could be THAT big.
When I re-saved them as GIF they went from ~0.9Meg to 0.077Meg (77KB). JPG would be similar, but JPG mishandles line-art and GIF does it right (GIF mangles good photography).
While my browser understood that a file named JPG could be really a BMP format file, not all browsers will figure it out, and not all non-MS machines will display BMP.
