I have said this before but if you don't believe me (us) test us, by continuing your bad behavior.

We have no desire to make up new rules but a few of the old ones apply to recent threads.

Specifically

#2 Absolutely NO pornography, sexually offensive comments, or links that lead to outside sites that contain similar material, is permitted here. 

One recent political post was reported and deleted because of sexual content.  Links to offensive commentary off-list have become routine. We are interested in what you think, not what you have clicked on recently.

4. You will find that the members of this community are incredibly courteous and respectful of each other, so please reciprocate those gestures. Leave the Flame-war mentality at another forum.  Personal attacks as well as general hateful comments (regarding race, religion, gender, sex, etc...) will not be tolerated.

We can't fix the incivility on social media and modern political discourse but we can nip bad behavior in the bud here.  We have wide freedom to talk about almost anything here as long as it is done thoughtfully and respectfully.

For a while now I have been ignoring some members who test the limits of civility and stir up contention. I will start reading your posts again so be warned.

The first step will be to just delete posts considered offensive. After enough repeat behavior the disrespectful member will be terminated.  Some members could be starting with multiple strikes against them already for their past pattern of behavior.

Well to update i have only deleted one or two posts since this new rigorous program started, and apparently nobody noticed, so all good.

I still refuse to click on twitter or video links.  If forum members see links posted that break the forum rules file a moderation report with specifics about which forum rule is being broken. (Please do not send me PMs complaining about a forum member.)

The rules of the forum are fully in force.

I have just locked several of the more hotly contested topics.

The rules remain the same so anything is acceptable to talk about, just follow the rules.

Feel free to start new topics to complain about the "regular suspects."
