Hello everyone. A problem with this mixer is driving me crazy.
On ebay I bought a small Audio Developments AD31 mixer.
We have replaced all the electrolytic capacitors.
A 24v to 48v DC/DC converter circuit has been added for phantom power, as well as switches on each channel.
A module for 8 balanced outputs from JLM Audio has also been installed. This is powered by a 24V to +-15v DC/DC converter. .
When I connect the set to the lab power supply, everything works fine. Consumption is 360 milliamps
Now these are the problems:
- When I connect to another 24v 3A linear power supply, it never starts.
- In a 7A linear power supply, sometimes it does not start.
- With a Chinese switching power supply, the IC of the 48v converter explodes.
- With another Meanwell power supply, everything works but there is a triangular noise in the background.
What can happen here?

It's really strange that behavior I really don't see why is that happening.

Very cool mixer by the way, looks very nice, channels are modular, transformer input with Limiter on the Master Bus , it reminds me the 70s type of small mixer like the Alice 828

Current deaw could be below the minimum load for the power supplies if they're switchmode. The Meanwell might just need better filtering like a common mode choke on the output.
