I bought this "Audio-Mate 1000A" in San Diego about 5 years ago, think I paid $25.00 for it in a electronics "recycle" store (I also picked up a Urei Mod One for $50.00)

Anyway, there is nothing I have found online about this or the company.

Not bad, actually still works, haven't done anything to it yet...

Sprague caps, NE5534N's, an LM3900N, some kind of flat wound psu tranx (lp 24-250 best guess providing 24V)

3 old tranx's (365-W-1-105022/105948)

The pcb very simple labelled "ABC 104-1191"

Single XLR in XLR out and

Sooo...anyone know or hear anything about this?

Oh yeah the back label says "Automated Broadcast Controls" (9155 Brookville Rd. Silver Springs MD)

I did find a court case which ABC was involved in to provide equipment in Texas for a radio station:

Mentions the company here: http://law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/F2/799/230/117863/

Bri is right its an IEC connector...

If you look right under the two left capacitors theres a cute little diode array in epoxy ( I think thats what it is), comes out in three pins to the pcb...

Although it might not be, its sort of on a "X" shapped piece of metal and the center item is a resistor, everything is coated in some black paint/epoxy the bottom left corner has a "+" symbol on pcb and top right a "-"...

3 EQ pots arec100k

attack pot 2.5k release 500k, input 1k

The relay is here:http://www.electro-tech-online.com/custompdfs/2012/07/AZ530.pdf

I plugged it in today and tried running signal through it, actually mediocre EQ but do-able, the compressor actually is the beast of function in this thing, it really can pump and does significant gain, the pre-side of this, whatever is happening when I take the compressor out is not functioning...

So I probably will flip over the pcb and come up with a schematic and see if there's a way to beef it up/make it worthy...

Sort of a backyard channel strip....

Really not a lot of parts involved...

At this point I will replace some caps, track down why the gain side is not really working when the comp is out of circuit and see if I can clean up the EQ side a bit...

The EQ goes from "nada' to "blanket" and on up to "perky" but its not anything special...yet.
