I have an Auditronics PSU that came with a 110a console. This had been sitting unused for a long time so I decided to recap it before turning it on. I am now turning it on for the first time and following the calibrating instructions.

One instructions says to connect pins 13 and 14., which seems to bypass the off switch. It won't stay on when I do this unless I hold the on button down. The person who last used this had connected pins 12 and 13, so I tried that. Now it turns on and stays on and I can adjust it to 15V. Is it okay to do this? I guess it bypasses the remote switching? The on and off buttons work with 12 and 13 connected.

Also, the instructions say to connect a 15ohm 20W resistor from pins 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. This resistor started to smoke after the PSU was on for a couple minutes. So I turned it off. On the calibration page someone wrote on the side "20 ohm 25 watts." So maybe I should be using this resistor instead? Would that effect the voltage results?

This is my first time calibrating a psu so any advice is appreciated.
