Just pimping my latest project.

I had some BA283 boards made which are nearly identical to the originals except

A) no card-edge fingers; 0.200" header instead

B) removed unused pins

I've got an SCA chassis with two channels of N72.
I'm going to add two additional channels based on these boards
+ Marinair 31267 inputs / Sowter 8751 outputs
+ 2pole/11way switch ala JLM:

More pics as progress continues.

I could make these available, but I would probably want to do some things differently on the second run (only had 4 made).

Now that I've tried the screw terminal thing with these, I'm thinking there could be a better solution still using card-edge.

Also, there are some off-board components that are kind of a pain to deal with in this arrangement...
mainly the power rail bypass caps.

Maybe I will make a separate board with PCB-mount card-edge connectors.
Then I'll go back to the card-edge style BA283.

Hmmmmm, thinking about this....

But, I'll share the gerbers for this board if anyone wants.

Okay, I'm sending the gerbers to the GroupDIY gmail.

Note that I'm providing this as-is with no guarantees.
Use at your own risk.

You'll need a good understanding of Neve circuits to do anything with this at all.

that would be nice, wsith silk sreen, double side etc.. but, it would take ages to organize  something like that.
i will get on with the home_made version  ;D

actually martin is doing sort of....

Exactly. Martin's board is a 3 stage 12*0. What more do y'all want??
Kudos to Skylar for doing his own.
Cheers.

Resurecting old thread

I just print the gerber file from groupdiy email and here's what I got. If anyone interested PM or email me. I made 20 of this and would love to share cost with you guys..

After building these, I found that the two smaller holes for the 2N3055 are a tight fit.

I was able to barely force the transistor into the board on the first one I built.
On the second one, I drilled the holes a little larger before populating the board.

So, I recommend enlarging these two holes slightly for ease-of-construction.

Depends on the value of feedback and gain setting resistors.

50dB is a common overall gain value but can be setup for more or less.

PS - I have a pair of 'HotRod' pcbs (JLM circuit) for easily adding the supporting circuitry to a BA283 to create a full '1272' style preamp.

You can PM me if interested - I'm not going to get around to building.

Cheers
