After searching the META forum and Electronics in Meccano site I still have a question about the Transformer I bought. It has the following pins/description :

0 - 115V 0 - 115V

0 - 15V 0 - 15V

I'm giving it 230 V AC in and need +- 15V out. Is it correct when I connect the 115V pin in the center with the 0 V in the center and connect the outside pins 0 and 115V to the 230V AC signal?

For the output, connect center 0 and center 15V pin and use these as 0V for the power supply?

How do I mount the Block transformer on the 19" chassis? It doesn't fit on a universal PCB board?

Cool chart!

Just one note, the top left diagram that says the spot="start"is not necessarily true. The dot usually means "hot" , at least in audio transformers. The hot usually is the "finish" of the winding as to put the signal that is furthest from ground away from the core, and thus minimizing signal loss due to capacitance.

There are cases where the "hot" is actually the start of the winding, such as when you have a reverse wound section on a coil. In order to keep the phgaes oriented correctly, the start and finish are swapped.
