I was really bored at work, and as I was reading about transformers I thought how hard would it be to roll my own??
Easy, just put some screw in a drill and start winding:) and the results are very lofi..So it wasnt that easy but..

I made dosen with differend cores( read bolts etc metaljunk) and random ratios.
there's selector for trafo, a 2w class-d amp for driving those, diode clipper and one "real" trafo for "clean"feed.

sounds really lofi, but Almost everything is recycled materials, so it didnt cost me nothing but time..

COOL!

I would definitely patent that name too. I can hear/see it now:
"As seen on TV!  THE IRONIZER!
Not enough iron your shorts? Ironize them!"
or
"Does that guitar track lack a little something? IRONIZE IT!!"

"3 easy payments of $???.99  + shipping and handling(needless to say this is where you'd make most of your profit!)
;D

Most excellent! ;D I´ve had thoughts about something similar... What kind of wire did you use?

/Dave

First one I made from wire ment for guitar pickups..
and I know that your not suppose to do it, but rest were made from disassembled  relay coils and old trafos.
