Don't you like what it does ?

Maybe look for missing decoupling caps. All SMD, no ? Pics, please :)

T1953 rev. E is the nearest I seem to have.

Could this be of use to you? I have no idea about the difference with T1954.

The tube sections are common to all Behringers T19xx range , its through hole so there is a chance you can re-jig it . The tubes run on something like 25volts on the plate and I think the heaters are way undervolted too. The solid state sections are smd and broadly similar to other  processors in the Behringer range . I had considdered modding one before , the one with 8 channels of tube processing called the T1950 Magician, those units are long since out of production at this stage but can be found cheaply enough if your lucky . Theres one mic pre with tube , one limiter/comp , the one you have with the psycho acoustic processing and the T1950 in the range.
If you wanted to make the tubes in them run at proper voltages a new power supply would be required , Im not sure its even worth the trouble to be honest.

Had the T1950 and ended up selling it after years of not using. I too had thought about modding it but quickly turned out that starting with just an empty case would have yielded almost the same for me. So the unit went. Plenty of unused space inside though.

The tube section is weird (or genius  ???) in that it flips phase for substraction in order to filter out distortion produced by the starved tubes and then allows adding various degrees of only that distortion back to the program signal for exciting -- I think.

Finally, the T1950 is not a preamp at all.
