Hello

I want to pair this preamp (http://www.preservationsound.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/BelgianAmp1950.pdf) with this EQ (http://www.preservationsound.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/ResponseEQ1947.pdf).
I'm now looking for compatible transformers for the preamp, but since I'm fairly new in these kinds of circuits, I would love some advice.
Any ideas?

Best!
Jesper

There's some overlap between the two circuits' functions.

Both are based on the 6SJ7 pentode and the "Belgian" mic pre has some eq controls built into it. But the mic pre is not just a line level component: it is designed to drive a speaker from the push-pull 6V6's. The line-level portion would only include the first two tubes and it would end at the grid of the 2nd 6SN7 (marked with a "1" on the schematic.) After that is a phase splitter (6SN7 #2) and then the power amp (the two 6V6's.)

The eq circuit is sort of a partial circuit fragment that could replace the "Belgian" one's first tube and some related components.

As far as transformers are concerned - do you mean power transformers?

May I be so bold to ask: why THESE circuits? Have you heard them? I'd be just as keen to build the egg grader as one of these.
