Hi, i bought the blue yeti mic and plugged it into my windows 10 pc
but it records no sound
Message indicates that mic driver was installed ok but I cannot get it to work
Tried a replacement mic as well and tried it on my laptop also
Still no sound
anything else I can try?
thanks
George

Fixed the input device on camtasia. It is now working thanks.
I get the playback sound when I disconnect the yeti USB.
Is there some way to get the sound without disconnecting the USB?

you need to set the playback device to your normal speakers. the yeti has a headphone jack in it and the sound may switch to that if you plug it in

well what happens is the yeti records sound ok
But to hear the playback I have to remove its USB fro my PC.
Only then do I hear sound on my speakers.
So I cannot use the mic, for example, in conversations

That is only a display, NOT a "selection".

Take a screenshot of the in/out settings in Windows and Camtasia or Skype.

And yet, there IS a signal level indication right underneath that selection, in Skype.

Have you tried plugging your headphones into the Yeti headphone output?

I can clearly see the Yeti is selected as the output device in Skype, even though the Realtek is selected as the default output in Windows.

Computers are dumb - they do what you TELL them to do, NOT what you WANT them to do ;)
