just returned it today.... touch_feeling on remote was orgasmic tho... very sexy texture  8)
anyone could, should check it at a stores... pretty amazing texture!
anyway; hunt on good old bose 901 on ebay.... i have a spare Bryston  ;)

Back in the early 1970s I built some DIY speakers loosely based on the 901. Instead of 3 strings of 3 x 8 ohm drivers to make a series parallel 8 ohms, I used 4 strings of 4 x 8 ohm to again make 8 ohm with more power handling.  Still needed active EQ (both HF and LF boost) to compensate for the small box LF cut off, and mid range drivers that did not deliver much high end.  Not bad for 45 years ago, and they got pretty loud pushing 200W into 4 of them.  But those speakers ended up in a dumpster by the mid 80s.
