Hi All,
I was wondering if I can use the 30VA 2 x 25 PT from mnats for this build , secondaries in series for 50vac to power both PSU and Phantom ... and if this is ok , would it power two channels ?

  Thanks,
              Chip

Hi
I was just wondering,
Do any of the transistors need to be matched?
Is it better to match them even if not neccessary and if which ones need to be matched?

Regards
/Taz

Hello ,
I used this switch for a Turbo dual SSC GSSL in a 1U case - I used shrink tubing on all the wired connections and had to slightly bend the tabs back a little - also put electrical tape to insulate top and bottom case lids just to be sure no shorting.

Here's a pic , its a little expensive but it works and is available - http://www.newark.com/electroswitch/c4d0212n-a/switch-rotary-dp12t-500ma-125v/dp/06M4594?ost=06m4594

I'm sure  :) and i'm going to try them later, now I just have too many projects...
but were they something like 80€/$/something a piece?
their websites didnt state prices, but iirc I saw that somewhere..

Yep, when I bought mine, they were about $100 US each, delivered.
But they are worth it.

ok, thanks:)

Some pics of my build - two channels fully operational, hacked into donor chassis, still need to finish nailing it all down. It's been sitting in this state for a few weeks, hasn't stopped it from being put to work. Add it to the pile of projects I have working but waiting for permanent front panels or enclosures. Sounds freaking awesome though. Will update pics if I can ever buckle down and get some panels made instead of buying parts for other builds.

I just prototyped the first half of this circuit just wired it point to point its a mess havent spent any money just using bits that I have in my junk boxes Im calling my version the FREE RANGE...  I borrowed a VTB1168 from a Neve EZ1290 pre using an old Marinair transformer on the input, I have OP tran connected from C89.... at highest gain setting using a MK47 type mic the pre sounds lovely just the right level for my DAW .... Im gonna replace R103 82R with a 100R pot wired as reostat, Im guessing the gain sw is some sort of feedback control ? ......a quick A B recording its sounds as good if not better than my EZ1290 !..... Impessed ! .... Im gonna build the 2nd stage now see how that sounds...... will prob add op attenuattor & have seperate gain switch so I can mess with driving the two amps in different ways will prob have an output from just this first stage too as it sounds great & noise is probly lower I guess.

Hello guys! I'm eventually getting my hands on this build (populating pcbs) and I've got 2 easy questions so far:

1 - 1000uF caps MUST be 63V? Can't they be 25, for example?
2 - Would it be possible to create a jack-D.I. input on this unit? If so, how?

Thank you!  ;)

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there are any American equivalents of the suggested OP transformer.

Thanks regarddless,

I used some big honkin' JE-11 outputs on my builds.  They sound very nice.
Best,
Bruno2000
