Australian made AKG C-12 and 251 point to point boards for Apex 460 Alctron HT-11A, ShuaiYin,SYT-1200 !!

Prices are 251 $100.00 USD  C-12 $120.00 USD postage $25.00

I recommend at this stage that those who are building the C12 Use The Matador/Chunger PSU if they can't already workout  how to
mod the Apex unit, as It's probably the safest way... :)

Here is what they sound like up against an Apex 460 with modded circuit board. Pay attention to the 3d transients and extra Air on the p to p Versions!

hei opr

I'm sorry, totally fine what you do. I didn't know the history of the project, just don't like so much the  direction the place is moving too, the last year. But I guess it's a normal movement, get's bigger, more professional... its fine

IMHO there is an error in the schematic with OPR_251 above it.
As drawn in the schematic, the signal from the rear diaphragm will never reach the grid...
I think the connections to the backplate and the front diaphragm should be reversed!
(Backplate connected to grid.)

Have you tried it RuudNL?  ???
It's working fine over here...  ;)
Give it a go!!
But yes there is an error in that schematic in that C1 should come before R4 not after but this does not effect the polarization scheme.
so I'll remove the schematic until I get time to fix it.

Yet another single from another local Australian band Mayfair Kytes that also used my point to point  251 with Tim's CT12 on vocals I believe they also used my point to point C12 on drum overheads amongst other things.

Enjoy!!

I'm curious to see your 251 schematic as your circuit doesn't seem to match this schematic:

http://www.geocities.jp/dave_group_japan/elam2502.jpg

Where's R10 & R11 fom the AKG 251-E schematic?

It looks like the C4 on your layout illustration is  hooked up to the plate of the tube?

It seems like it would be very helpful to have a schematic of the particular circuit you have in mind.

I'm familiar with the build page.

Many people have built this mic with  little need for a traditional schematic
Its pretty clear..what's your confusion?
