Hope for some help on this one.
C414 B ULS dropped now output "a little low"
Facts of the case so far assessed.
1. One side of the capsule has two distinct spots of "ripple" in the film.
2. 62Vdc and 20Vdc tests points seem okay.
3. Comparing to another C414 B ULS finds figure 8 a bit louder with rippled film side pointing toward sound source, but otherwise rippled side seems to indeed be lower (about 6dB max) when aimed at sound source, through other patterns.
4. No other obvious broken points so far(XLR connections, TRX windings etc)
1. Other tests to do?
2. Does the rippled capsule nail it right there?
