Some time ago we bought a Calrec S2 from Jerry Springers set
We've since split this console up into a smaller one and now a couple of sidecars.
We have a load of spare psu's that all work ok.
We also have an SSL 8000GB in almost constant daily use and the psu's for this are most def on their way out.
The voltages on the calrec's are not too far away from what each bucket of the SSL wants. So I cant help but think that I could get these to run the SSL.
The Calrec PSU's are of a much more modern 'switching' variety so are almost silent in operation.
I'd love to get these running the SSL, which has the power distribution rack that feeds each bucket separately , I'm thinking I could tap it in here...
Currently, there are 3 large SSL psu's which run the 48 mono channel console.
I was thinking that a calrec psu may be able to power one or two buckets per psu..
Any thoughts on this?
