I'm having a dumb moment...
Polarized caps in series like so ---||+-- ---||+-- divides capacitance because the plates are farther apart (like resistors in parallel).
Do polarized caps wired in series like this --+||--- ---||+-- to create a nonpolar cap still divide capacitance the same way?
[Ct=1/(1/C1)+(1/C2)]
