Hello all,
I just have gotten access to a 3D printer. It uses P430 ABS plastic. This thing is amazing. You can actually create pieces within pieces that will separate under a chemical bath. (Like imagine making a paint roller all in one piece where the handle separates from the roller under the chemical bath).

Anyway, I'm wondering if this ABS has high enough Dielectric Constant for M49/M50 mic capsule mounts. I found a great page:

http://www.machinist-materials.com/comparison_table_for_plastics.htm

...and it lists ABS ( 2.8 ) a bit lower than Delrin ( 3.7 ). Does someone just "know" off hand that this will work?
Thanks

Dielectric Constant is NOT interesting for a capsule mount.

You want what they spell "Volume Resistively" (resistivity); and surface cleanliness because most of these plastics are pretty darn good insulators inside, but they get crud on the surface.

Does this type mount even have any electrical function?
