I am replacing some carbon track 10k gain pots on some racked V72s for a client and I was going to use some nice Greyhill or Elma switches, but I saw these cheap Chinese assembled switches on ebay while searching around for stock. I was wondering has anyone tried these and found their quality to meet or exceed their expectancy for such cheap parts?

Recent thread where the OP wound up using a log version (I think the linear ones are only done by one seller, who seems to take a lot of care):

L/R matching is very tight, and they've quite a nice feel in use. Life expectancy is the one unknown for me. I use one in my monitor controller, and I've picked up a couple of spares just in case. Cheap enough for the client to take a gamble on, maybe?

If you scroll down, there is a mention of these types in the mod. Guessing these guys know some stuff. ? Not sure if there's an updated blog saying they didn't work out....too lazy to look.....

I had a monitor controller as well that used them and it was very nice. Had extra resistors in there too come to think of it.... wonder why..... Need to dig out my pics and try to figure out what they were maybe....

I see they have a brand new offer on the web page , made to order custom tapers ,
same price as the linear , 25US each if you buy 24 .
I had sent a request via another ebay seller for this very item , but didnt hear anything back ,
The SMD soldering and laser trimmed wiper on those looks top class , most likely will give a lifetime of use .

Heres their special taper ,

Looks like there available in 10, 20 and 100k versions ,
I see it has an off position at the end with a knee last steps get more coarse ,
Doesnt give any info about the source or input impedence of what ever comes after the pot wiper when they state the attenuation ' 'Cuvre'.

A straight line attenuation curve with an extra position instead of off would be nicer .
-40 to 0db .
I see dual gang controls on their banner add but cant seem to find it on the page it directs me to .

Interesting, this guy is a tech at Capital Records, that lends some credibility to their quality if he is recommending them. Think I will buy a set and check them out. Thank you all, if they fail to meet expectations I will report back.
