So true. I've met a few (able bodied) people with very high IQs who couldn't find paid work because they lacked other important skills. And even many high-functioning highly intelligent people are often astonishingly bad at reality testing or tend to compartmentalize their thinking and loose sight of context and the big picture. Many, many years ago when I was eleven I did very well in the 11+ exam that got you into grammar school in the UK. All kids my age where I lived who did equally well were invited for interviews at the Town Hall and I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of five to try for scholarships to two nearby public schools. Long story short, three kids were offered places but I and one other were not. The two of us ended up at the same grammar school. The other guy was obviously very intelligent but he had one hell of a chip on his shoulder. He had a very negative attitude and was always getting into trouble. He was intelligent but not smart. The guy in the video reminds me a lot of him.
Cheers
Ian
